We are very pleased to introduce a new excellent oil, our extra virgin avocado oil, Paltita from Chile. It has received a Superior Taste Award of 2008 with two stars, granted by the International Taste & Quality Institute in Brussels.
This extra virgin avocado oil is produced through a cold extraction process. Using locally-grown fruit, the first stage involves selecting mature avocados deemed to be perfect for oil processing. The pulp is separated from its skin and kernel and cold pressed. Rich in vitamin E and mono unsaturated fatty acids, it helps maintain a healthy diet. Its brilliant and intense green colour serves as a natural garnish for the most exquisite and varying dishes. A perfect component of the Mediterranean Diet, avocado oil contains an ideal combination of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fats.
Its exquisite taste and soft aroma of recently cut avocados, its delicate nutty flavour and its emerald green colour, makes avocado oil an ideal complement to salad dressings and vegetables. Because of its high smoke point, about 255 Celsius, avocado oil is the natural choice for frying meat or fish.
The avocado oil is 100% natural, cholesterol free and without additives. It is extra virgin oil that concentrates the healthy nutrients of the avocado and can help lower “bad” cholesterol levels.
As a result of our continuous efforts to produce excellent oil, this extravirgin avocado oil, Paltita, has received a Superior Taste Award of 2008 with two stars, granted by the International Taste & Quality Institute in Brussels.
